Tips for an Information Security Analyst/Pentester Career - Ep. 104: Speaking At a Security Conference
On February 13, 2026 I had the opportunity to present a talk at Wild West Hackin' Fest Mile High 2026 in Denver.
It was an honor and a pleasure, but first of all a big challenge cause as I'm as afraid of public speaking as I am of heights.
Plus, here we're talking about a major conference organized by John Strand's Black Hills Information Security, one of the largest security companies out there, led by a guy who I always looked up to.
I had to pinch myself when I got the invitation email.
I'll upload the video recording to my YouTube channel as soon as the conference will make it available. My talk, HUMAN TOUCH: Why Manual Testing Still Matters, was about the importance of manual testing.
In the meantime, I want to take the opportunity for a quick video with tips for first time speakers and considerations about why you might want to challenge yourself and dare submitting a talk at any conference.
Enjoy!!
