3…2….1…A checklist for Windows 10

Tomorrow Microsoft will officially release Windows 10.

Are you ready? By following this short checklist, you can make sure your upgrade will be smooth and fast.

1. Backup or clone your previous configuration: Don't count on your good luck. Things can go South with Microsoft upgrades, so make sure you have a safety net, should you fall from the tightrope.
2. Make a copy of your activation codes: should you lose them, you can have a backup.
3. Create a secondary partition: If you want to play safe, you can install Windows 10 on a secondary partition and see what it looks like. Early adopters can always expect bugs and backwards compatibility issues. I will probably make this choice myself.

We'll see what the final version looks like.

I don't have high hopes, as they're still fixing bugs right now, from what I read online.

UPDATE: I'm still waiting for a notification from Microsoft to start installing. I guess July, 29 was only an indicative date.
At this point, with App Store, I'd be already downloading it.
