App Store not working or too slow? Here’s how you fix it!
App Store may sometimes not work appropriately or be too slow.
- A download doesn't get started or resumed: Quit the App Store app, go to Terminal and enter the following command: open $TMPDIR../C/ Afterward, open com.apple.appstore and remove all the files located in this folder.
- Downloads are too slow or abort: Open Keychain Access (Applications/Utilities) and select Preferences. In the Certificates tab, under Certificate Revocation List, change the settings from Best Attempt (default) to Off. Your current download will be faster from now on. Note: this setting is insecure, allowing to download files without checking their certificates, so you want to switch back to the defaults after completing your download.
