How to make your Firefox super-fast with one click

Firefox can be sluggish sometimes, but not everybody knows that there's a way to make it super-fast.

You won't need any add-ons, but only to change a couple of settings.

Steps
  1. Open Firefox advanced settings by entering about:config in the address bar.
  2. A pop-up message will warn that you could void your warranty by changing these settings. Click I'll be careful, I promise! and move on.
  3. In the next page, look for pipelining.
  4. You'll see several items under that keyword, but what you need to do is to set network.http, pipelining to True, change the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests from 32 to 8, set network.pipelining.ssl to True and set network.http.proxy.pipelining to True, as well. You should have the same values as shown in the figure below:
  5. At this point, restart Firefox (close it and open a new session) and it will be much faster than before because, thanks to the above changes, each webpage will load 8 components at a time, instead of one at a time, which improves dramatically the browser performance.
